Also see listed and approved press fittings on the website of Sweden’s plumbing safety regulations (www.sakervatten.se). In order to check that a press fitting is compressed, a tightness check must be carried out before the final pressure test is performed with 1.43 x the calculation pressure (14.3 bar for tap water systems). Pressurize the pipe system to a test pressure of 3 bar for at least 30 minutes. All joints must be inspected. The pressure may not drop during the period of the check. Read more about tightness testing in the LK assembly instruction.
See assembly instructions for pressing with LK PressPex connections. For the range of press machines and jaws please refer to the separate product catalog: Press tools
NOTE! To save time when installing, the press steps can be left so that a greater amount of compressions are made in a row. In these cases there is a great risk that the pipe ends partially slip out of the connection or that some connections do not get compressed. A careful check should therefore be made to avoid leakage.
LK recommends joint free pipe-in-pipe systems between visible connection points or placing the connection points in spaces with leakage indication. A joint free installation is always the safest option.
