Quick Guide LK Room Control Arc

Get started with your LK Arc system quickly and easily with this step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Preparations

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • A mobile phone with NFC enabled (“contactless payment”) with the latest version of Android or iOS.
  • Mobile phone without a protective case containing a payment card or magnet.
  • The font, font size and screen zoom on the mobile phone must be set to the default settings.
  • The MyLK app installed (available on App Store and Google Play).
  • A registered account in the MyLK app.
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi without Nordic special characters (å, ä, ö, é, ü, etc.) or spaces and quotation marks (’ ”) in the network name or password.
  • Network cable (if you are connecting ArcHub via a wired connection).
  • LK ArcByWire (if the thermostats are to be connected via a wired connection).
  • Antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (if ArcHub and thermostats are connected wirelessly).
    OBS! Requires 2 ArcTenna Inwall units.
  • 2 batteries per thermostat (for wireless connection).
  • For a detailed installation guide and instructions, scan the QR code on the packaging.

NOTE!

If the property lacks internet, you can use your mobile phone’s internet sharing, but make sure that 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is enabled. On an iPhone, enable “Maximize Compatibility.” If you see the option “Allow Others to Join,” you must also enable it.

Step 2: Install ArcHub

Wired connection:

Connect the network cable to the ArcHub and the BUS cables between
thermostats and ArcHub

Wireless connection:

Connect the antennas – one for Wi-Fi and one for Bluetooth. Antennas
must be installed outside the installation cabinet.

  • Power on ArcHub. Wait until the power indicator light stays solid green.
  • Open the MyLK app and click on “Start New Installation.”
  • Select ArcHub as the device.
  • Register the property. The address must be real, but the property name can be chosen freely, for example: “Floor 1”, “Apartment A.”
  • If asked to select an installation mode: Choose “Installer” if you are installing LK Arc in a professional capacity. Otherwise, select “End User” (this mode provides more icon options for room symbols).

Step 3: Pair Thermostats and Actuators

Important:

Pair all thermostats before completing the installation for the current ArcHub in the app.

  • Insert two batteries into each wireless thermostat (if wireless).
  • Follow the instructions in the app to pair the thermostats (all thermostats must be paired in this step).
  • Carefully ensure that each actuator in the app is linked to the correct thermostat.
  • Confirm in the app that all devices have been successfully paired.

Step 4: Complete the installation

  • Carefully review all steps in the app.
  • The thermostat and actuators will automatically regulate according to the set values. Changing the thermostat setting will not immediately open or close the actuator. 
  • Check the LEDs on the ArcHub. If all three LEDs are solid green, the system is fully operational.

Troubleshooting

If the LED for power (left LED):

  • solid yellow → an actuator that is not functioning.
  • flashing blue → the device is restarting.
  • flashing alternately blue and pink → the device’s software is being updated.

 

If the LED for external connection (middle LED):

  • flashing green/turquoise alternately → no internet connection.
  • flashing green/red alternately → no connection to Wi-Fi/network*.
  • flashing green → internet and local network are available, ArcHub is attempting to connect to LK’s cloud.
  • flashing green and off alternately → software issue. The device must be updated with new software via the USB port. Contact LK for more information.

 

If the LED for internal connection (right LED):

  • flashing blue → a wirelessly connected thermostat is not connected*. It may take up to 20 minutes after installation for all thermostats to connect.
  • flashing yellow → a wired thermostat is not connected. Check all cables and connections.

* Check that the antenna is connected and positioned outside the installation cabinet.

After a successful installation, if any issues arise, do not delete anything from the app or reset any devices before contacting LK support.
