LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q

With its innovative sound insulation and easy handling, LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q is a unique prefabricated solution. The module is a further development of one of the market’s most extensively prefabricated solutions. It is available in two adaptable base configurations: a centre module and a corner module.

Our solutions are customised and pre-assembled in a controlled environment at our factory in Gävle. Every project is designed and documented so that the customer receives a clear overview of the ordered solution.

The result is a safe, flexible installation that saves both time and money. Different functions and surface finishes can be incorporated according to the project’s requirements. The difference is particularly significant for tenants: in many projects, they can remain in their flats while renovation work is carried out.

LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q – Centre module

The centre module can be positioned at almost any suitable location in the bathroom. With an external width of only 600 mm, it is one of the narrowest wet room modules on the market.

LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q Centre can be installed as a freestanding module within the bathroom. A wide range of options is available, including water metering and a water safety system. The module is available in two finishes:

  • Factory-finished in white
  • Prepared for tiling

LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q - Corner module

LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q Corner is designed for pipe replacement projects in compact bathrooms, including bathrooms commonly found in Sweden’s Million Programme housing developments.

The module’s design helps ensure that the WC pan is installed at the correct distance from the wall. It can be equipped with a range of optional functions and is available either factory-finished in white or prepared for tiling. The corner module can be supplied with either:

  • A factory-finished white sheet-metal front
  • A front incorporating an approved wet-room board prepared for tiling

The module’s design enables the hot- and cold-water risers to be separated. A purpose-designed insulation board is installed between the pipes to minimise unintended warming of the cold tap water.

The high level of prefabrication enables fast and safe installation on site. Every wet room module is designed by our engineers at the factory.

The modules are labelled with the relevant flat number and a unique identification number for full traceability. Optional features can include heating risers, water metering and additional sound insulation.

The 50 mm flange on LK Wet Room Module SAFE Q, together with its floor plinth, helps ensure that the waterproofing system is connected correctly.

Sound performance that speaks for itself

One of the most important benefits of SAFE Q is its exceptionally low sound level.

The module’s unique construction creates an optimised acoustic environment and a more comfortable living space by reducing disruptive noise from flushing and WC cistern refilling.

The module has been tested in an acoustic laboratory under the supervision of an acoustics specialist. The documented results demonstrate excellent sound-reduction performance.

Significantly easier installation

The wet room module can be installed by one person. The prefabricated components are mounted on two sections of the back panel. These sections click together easily, allowing the installer to complete the initial pipework installation and hand the bathroom over to the other trades.

The installer returns at a later stage to fit the washbasin, WC and other sanitaryware. The front panel – either factory-finished or prepared for tiling – is also installed at this stage.

LK Prefab simplifies transport and handling

Major logistical improvements

The split construction significantly simplifies transport and handling. Because the sections are assembled on site, the packaging can remain compact and fit inside most types of lift. All required installation materials are supplied in the same package, including:

  • Frame
  • Stud bolts
  • Flushing mechanism
  • Internal pipework
  • Wastewater stack
  • Required installation components

The front panel is normally delivered later, when the final bathroom installation begins.
