We provide EPDs for most of our installation products

At a time when sustainability is increasingly important, LK is taking significant steps towards a greener future by providing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for most of our installation products. Although requirements for climate declarations had not yet entered into force when the article was published, LK was already at the forefront by providing an extensive number of environmental declarations.

LK Systems as an EPD pioneer

LK has long recognised the importance of providing transparent information about the environmental impact of its products. In 2021, Amanda Scotte joined the company as Sustainability Specialist and works full-time on LK’s sustainability activities together with Hans Bramevik, Head of Quality, Environment and Sustainability at LK Systems.

Amanda highlights that EPD data can, for example, demonstrate that choosing an LK pipe can reduce environmental impact by at least 50% compared with metal pipes made from copper, steel or stainless steel.

Examples like this demonstrate the importance of EPDs and the difference they can make, now that reliable documentation is available to show the environmental impact of different product choices.
