Efficient and environmentally friendly underfloor heating

LK Maritime

In 2024, LK established a maritime department with a focus on underfloor heating for ships and offshore. Self-manufactured solutions provide energy-efficient heating, lower costs and better comfort.

LK established a marine department in 2024, with a primary focus on delivering water-based underfloor heating for ships, marine, and offshore installations. The segment also includes the delivery of tap water systems.

This initiative was a response to significant demand from the maritime industry. The department has four resources, with a majority of them having extensive experience from the maritime sector.

We provide A to Z solutions, starting the process with dialogue, gathering all necessary data, performing calculations, creating designs, and delivering a fully priced installation calculation to the end customer. As a strategic decision, the department has also entered a partnership with a ship interior company that provides turnkey solutions.

All parts and components are self-manufactured, ensuring solutions characterized by cost-effectiveness, environmental consideration, and rational installations.

Water-based heating is part of the green deal, and for example, 1000m² of our solutions aboard a fishing vessel operating in the North Sea can result in savings of approximately 525,000 euros over a 10-year period, as well as the installation cost being significantly lower the conventional air heating systems.

Flexible solutions and installation methods are weight-saving. All our products have environmental documentation, and some are also made from recycled materials. Everything is produced in Sweden.

Underfloor heating evenly distributes heat throughout the room, creating a comfortable and consistent temperature. Unlike conventional air heating systems that tend to concentrate heat near the ceiling, underfloor heating warms the floor, radiating heat throughout the room, making it feel warmer on your feet.

The systems are approved by SINTEF and not subject to classification.
