Urgent need to replace drain stack

Drain stacks on many older properties are in need of replacement. There are several methods to choose between but in recent years the wet room module has become increasingly popular.

Traditional drain stack replacement compared with renovation with a wet room module is a question of resources both in terms of economy and time. During a traditional drain stack replacement, you must pull down the old pipe installations and replace these with new pipes that are placed in the old pipe shaft. This involves extensive demolition work where tenants are forced to move out of their apartments during the renovation.

Drain stack replacement using a wet room module takes 3-4 weeks, compared with 9-10 weeks for a traditional stack replacement.

The cooperative was looking for a solution that offered a "boost" to the bathroom as well as safe and fast installation. The renovation should be carried out in such a way that the tenants should have as little disturb as possible and so that no one needed to move out of their apartment.

After considering various solutions they decided to use LK Wet Room Module, a technique where the old pipes are plugged and a new water stack and drain pipes are placed inside the bathroom's waterproof layer.
